Official Holiday Pay Regulations: Philippines (2027)

In accordance with Proclamation No. 1427 signed by President Ferdinand Marcos Jr., the Philippines observes ten (10) Regular Holidays, four (4) Special Non-Working Days, four (4) Additional Special Non-Working Days to stimulate domestic tourism, and one (1) Special Working Day for the calendar year 2027. Under DOLE Labor Code regulations, regular holidays require 200% premium pay if worked, while special non-working days require 130% premium pay.

Regular Holidays (Worked)
Employee receives 200% of their regular daily wage for the first 8 hours: (Basic Wage + COLA) × 200%. Overtime beyond 8 hours is paid an additional 30% of the hourly rate on said day.
Regular Holidays (Unworked)
Employee receives 100% of their daily rate provided they were present or on paid leave on the workday immediately preceding the holiday.
Special Non-Working Days (Worked)
Employee receives an additional 30% on top of their basic daily wage (Total 130%). If it falls on an employee's scheduled rest day and is worked, the rate is 150%.
Special Non-Working Days (Unworked)
'No work, no pay' principle applies unless there is a favorable company policy, practice, or Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) granting payment.
